Kevin's Story

Prior to retiring from his 21-years of active duty as a U. S. Senior Chief in the Navy, Kevin had planned on working full-time in the Coast Guard.  Instead, Kevin became...
...the victim of a malicious plot to steal his pension, isolate him from his children, steal his identity -- including fraudulent filing of his IRS returns and theft of those refunds. In prison since March 3, 2009, the evidence that could free him is in process in federal court while the Attorney General in Florida refuses to extend the evidentiary hearing date.

Kevin is also in need of surgery for a hernia sustained in the Navy, for which he was awarded 50% disability. However, his ex-wife attempted to attach it, causing it to be discontinued until he is freed. Kevin's mother, Shirley, has spent thousands of dollars over the years, to no avail. A Lifetime of Service

Picture
Kevin is a High School graduate from Foley High School, Alabama. The only father Kevin knew passed away when Kevin was 11 years old, and Kevin became the "Man of the house," assuming his role of independence without hesitation, and helping his two sisters out whenever he could. Kevin loved sports, and played them in high school. His first job was at McDonalds at the age of 14.

Kevin has always lived a nice, clean life. He never ran the streets, never smoked or used illegal drugs, never drank alcoholic beverages, and has no tattoos. He grew up attending weekly Sunday School and Church Services (a requirement in his mother Shirley's household).

He joined Job Corp right out of high school and was trained as a painter. After his six-month basic training, Kevin joined the Navy at 19 years old. During Kevin's course of duty, he traveled around the world on various ships. Kevin was also active with the Coast Guard as an instructor while serving in the Navy.
When his sisters, Geniece and Bridgett, began their college education, Kevin sent money home to them from his paychecks. Bridgett earned her degree in Court Stenography and has been employed with the Baldwin County District Attorney's Office in Bay Minette, Alabama for the past 24 years. Kevin’s sister Geniece, who passed away on June 3, 2008, had earned a degree in Business Finance, and was employed as the City Clerk for the City of Fairhope until her death.
Kevin was a great husband and father to his daughters -- Devan was his biological daughter with Michelle, and Holly was adopted by Kevin after marrying her mother. Most of his 12 year marriage to Michelle was spent out to sea on numerous Navy ships, and he planned to begin serving with the U.S. Coast Guard full-time.
The man Michelle married after she divorced Kevin was allegedly considered to be a  ‘party animal.’ He was often unemployed, allegedly used illegal drugs, and was a heavy drinker. His name was Brian Price, and he died in 2011 when he allegedly drove his car into a retention pool and was too drunk to get out of the car. Brian was the one who had made the suggestion to Michelle to file charges against Kevin, and "asked Holly to say that Kevin had inappropriately touched her."

All of this was stated in Depositions, and Michelle testified to these things on the witness stand in court. She stated that during a 4th of July Party at their apartment, they held a family meeting and all agreed to "getting Kevin." Although Holly was a 24 year old adult at the time, Michelle filed the charges with the Navy. Holly never filed any charges against her father, but she participated with the plan they had made. When Michelle began her malicious actions and his captain advised him that she was “out to destroy his career,” Kevin retired.

Kevin is currently incarcerated at Baker Correctional Institution in Sanderson, Florida, and has been been in prison since March 3, 2009. Kevin has maintained his innocence throughout this long process. In spite of everything that has happened, Kevin continues to make sure 22 year old Devan's Life Insurance and Health Insurance are paid annually, as directed in his Divorce Decree.

Currently, Kevin needs surgery for a hernia. He injured his back in the Navy and was awarded 50% disability. Michelle tried to get his money and could not; however, they took action to discontinue his disability check until he is freed.

Even a transfer to Milton, Florida, for now would be so appreciated as Kevin's mother Shirley cannot visit him in Sanderson without a 7 hour drive in construction traffic. Milton is easily within 1 hr drive from her home in Alabama.
